Patient information
Fees, insurance and what to bring
Everything we'd otherwise have to tell you on the phone.
Fees
All prices on the home page are for self-paying patients and include VAT where applicable. Payment is taken at reception after your appointment by card or contactless. We don't hold cash.
- Prescriptions issued during a consultation are included; repeat prescriptions without an appointment are £20.
- Letters and reports requested outside an appointment are £35.
- Blood tests are charged at the laboratory's price plus a £15 handling fee; we'll tell you the total before taking the sample.
Insurance
We are registered providers with Bupa, AXA Health, Aviva, Vitality, WPA and Cigna. Please bring your membership number and, if your policy requires it, a pre-authorisation code. Any excess or shortfall is payable on the day.
We can't bill NHS services. If you're unsure whether you need to see us or your NHS GP, call reception and ask — we'll say so honestly.
Your first visit
- Arrive ten minutes early to complete a registration form (or complete it online — we'll send a link).
- Bring a list of current medications and any recent letters or results.
- Children under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Cancellations
Cancel or move your appointment free of charge up to 24 hours before. Later cancellations and missed appointments are charged at 50% of the appointment fee. We waive this for genuine emergencies — just tell us.
Your records
Your notes are stored securely and shared only with your consent or where the law requires. You can request a copy at any time. Full details are in our privacy notice.
Complaints and feedback
Speak to the practice manager or email hello@example.com. We acknowledge every complaint within two working days and aim to resolve it within twenty. If you're not satisfied, you can escalate to the national health regulator; we'll give you the details.
